This mentoring and networking project, supported by Barclays and Man Group plc, aims to inspire a diverse range of women to take on leadership roles in business and their respective communities.
Strategy and Execution
In order to meet the long-term objective of the project, ie, mentoring woman leaders to take up senior positions in organisations, HereandNow365 sought support from universities and large private organisations; we called upon relevant heads of HR, local MPs and successful female leaders to inspire the target audience. The workshop locations (Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham and London) were carefully selected on the basis of BME population density in respective pockets.
HereandNow365 has managed and run workshops across the UK in association with training consultancy, Athena1, Barclays and Man Group plc.
It has secured attendance for the workshops (held in Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham and London) through support from universities, small and medium sized businesses and corporate organisations.
The agency has been instrumental in running effective PR for the project throughout the year. We will be running a pre and post event PR campaign across mainstream and ethnic press.
Results
Since April 2008, four workshops have been conducted with outstanding participation. Each workshop was attended by more than 75 aspiring women with London’s event drawing in over 200. This success is now being extended through bespoke training and mentoring courses by Athena1 Associates.
