In an effort to better understand the role that ‘diversity’ plays in a globalised economy, Henley School of Management has invited Here&Now365 Managing Director, Manish Tiwari to speak at an upcoming event in Reading in November. Mr Tiwari will take a closer look at the changing global economic landscape, where ethnic migrant populations have become one of the key elements in designing marketing campaigns and achieving corporate baselines. The talk will also examine how these diverse populations have begun to bring about paradigm shifts in international business.

“We only need to look at the moves of Indian companies such as, ICICI, State Bank of India and HDFC are working in the UK to connect to Indian NRI Diaspora, or how MVNOs such as Lebara Mobile have succeeded entirely on targeting ethnic population segments across Europe (they will be sponsoring Africa Nations Cup on Euro Sports this year)," says Tiwari – adding: “Finally why African banks feel that they need to address ethnic Africans in UK as part of their growth plan.”

Mr Tiwari possesses several years of experience communicating with Diaspora audiences through TV, print media and advertising. A post-graduate in mass communication, he has worked with clients as diverse as Carphone Warehouse, BT, Barclays Bank and Asda as well as public sector bodies including FSA, UKAID and DFID. Originally from India, with more than a decade at various media organisations, he has created a niche communication segment targeting and reaching diverse audiences in the UK.
