Punjab National Bank (International) Ltd celebrates 10th Foundation Day
Punjab National Bank (International) Ltd celebrated their 10th Foundation Day with an enthralling Indian cultural program at the Hilton Hotel in Paddington.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, esteemed customers of the bank and employees of the bank, celebrating the tenth anniversary of operations, of one of UK’s youngest Indian banks.
The celebration begun with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a special message by the Global Managing Director of Punjab National Bank Mr Sunil Mehta. The Managing Director and CEO of Punjab National Bank (International) Limited Mr Antanu Das welcomed the guest with an impassioned speech, in which he spoke about the banks successful journey in the UK and future plans.
The guests were treated to a mesmerising musical performance by Jyotsana Srikanth and her entourage of musicians. A beautiful melange of Indian classical music mixed with contemporary beats resulted in a standing ovation from the enthusiastic crowd. To set the mood of the evening she belted out a beautiful rendition of Vande Manteram, followed by Carnatic Ragas and a few film tunes from Bombay and Rangeela.
Gracing the occasion was Mr GP Hinduja (The Hinduja Group), Mr Virendra Sharma MP for Ealing and Southall, Mrs Seema Malhotra MP, the Deputy High Commissioner of India to the UK Mr Dinesh Patnaik, accompanied by his wife, Tara Naidu (Regional Manager – UK and Ireland, Air India), Mr CB Patel, Mr CB Patel and Mr J Sanger.
The Indian banking fraternity joined the celebrations with CEO of State Bank of India Mr Sanjeev Chadha, Chief Executive, European Operations of Bank of Baroda Mr Dhimant Trivedi, MD & CEO of Union Bank of India (UK) Ltd Mr Brajeshwar Sharma, Executive Director &Deputy Chief Executive -Union Bank of India (UK) Ltd Dr Anand Kumar, Executive Director of Punjab National Bank Mr Nicholas Coleman amongst other making their presence felt.
