Shahnaz Husain talks about her ambition for the UK and her upcoming movie
Shahnaz Husain’s organic beauty products have sold at prestigious international stores, like Selfridges and Harrods in London, Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Bloomingdales in New York and La Rinascente in Milan, Italy.
In 1982, the charismatic entrepreneur and philanthropist entered Selfridges during the Festival of India. There, her products sold out in two days, breaking a 40 year sales record of the store. When she introduced her products during a Government festival in the London store, they sold out even before the inauguration.
Her name featured in the Guinness Book of Records when her products stormed the cosmetic bastion again, where a single customer bought products worth ₤4,334 in a single transaction in Selfridges. She also made history by becoming the first Asian to retail herbal beauty formulations at Galeries Lafayette in Paris.
Shahnaz Husain achieved expertise in formulating organic products based on Ayurveda. Now, she has introduced her Flower Botanic Range, which is chemical free. Her organic beauty solutions have received prestigious international awards for Quality Excellence in London, Paris, New York, Geneva and Cannes.
A biopic is being planned on the global beauty icon, with Priyanka Chopra playing her role.
Today, with a growing global demand for her products, Shahnaz Husain, currently in the UK, is looking for distributors.
