ASDA’s Ramadan cook-along took place on the 8th of April 2021. The event was hosted by celebrity chef Zaleha Olpin and the menu included three deliciously tantalising recipes: Chicken in Plum and Ginger Glaze, Pineapple Grenadine and Minto Mojito and No-Bake Batik Cake.
The event was attended by 17 guests including those from popular media channels and publications such as B4U, NDTV, British Bindi, Khush Mag and British Muslim Magazine. Popular Food Bloggers were also amongst those who attended the event.
The overall social media reach of the campaign surpassed expectations. Through social media posts, mentions and shares, the campaign had a reach of 450,000+. Through this event, ASDA was able to engage with the Muslim community who observe Ramadan and grow its social media presence.
