Gherkin becomes the centre stage for the High & Mighty of the India-UK corridor
India Gazette London Launches The India-UK Powerlist
The India-UK relationship has changed dramatically over the years – from one of rulers and sub-ordinates to now almost equals in economy. The journey has been one which has grown over time, but the accolades to that go to various individuals from different fields of business, arts, humanities, media, finance, technology etc who have made this relationship prosper.
Highlighting these contributions, India Gazette London unveiled their High & Mighty India-UK powerlist featuring individuals who have made a difference to this relationship not just by wealth but talent too!
So while we have the rich and mighty Gopichand Hinduja and Lakshmi Mittal, there are also some interesting additions like sportsman Rajiv Ouseph, entrepreneur Herman Nerula, Vijay Goel and singer Patricia Rozario. Within the field of politics along with Rajesh Agrawal (Deputy Mayor of London for Business), Shailesh Vara MP, Virendra Sharma MP and Seema Malhotra, we have Bob Blackman MP, Jeremy Corbyn and Boris Johnson who have helped the relationship grow.
Also, on the list is the CEO of Vitabiotics Tej Lalvani (who is also the new Dragons Den), Founder of Madhu’s Sanjay Anand, Founder of Kashmiri Pandits Cultural Society Lakshmi Kaul, MD of ICICI Bank Sudhir Dole, Head of State Bank of India UK Sanjiv Chadha and Professor Lord Patel of Bradford OBE. On the media front there is MD of AMG Kalpesh Solanki, BBC’s Media Editor Amol Rajan, MD of Sunrise Radio Tony Lit and our very own Managing Director of Here and Now 365 Manish Tiwari.
But India is just not about the Powerlist but also about the enigma that it is – and to bring that to the fore there was an interesting panel discussion hosted by former BBC presenter Nick Gowing and panellists Lord Karan Bilimoria, Patricia Rozario, Dr Nur Sobers Khan, David Landsman OBE and journalist Josy Joseph.
Playing host to the launch at the Searcy’s Gherkin is the editor of India Gazette Shafi Rahman.
Here and Now 365 has always prided itself for promoting multiculturalism and celebrating the ethnic diversity of the UK.
