Manish Tiwari completes the British 10K Run! And for a good cause…
Here and Now 365‘s Managing Director participated in the British 10K London run – staged on the world’s greatest road race route through the heart of Central London passing the capital’s historic landmarks.
Starting out at Piccadilly outside The Guards and Calvary Club, Manish completed the run successfully. While some ran for physical fitness, Manish joined those who coupled the run to raise money for charity.
By running for International Association of Human Values Manish not only raised funds but also awareness of the good work done through its programs to reduce stress and develop leaders so that human values can flourish in people and communities in areas of conflict in the Middle East.
Speaking on his experience he said: “I felt, for once, so good to be a citizen of London city looking at thousands of people cheering up, (dare I stop) and I did complete the race in just about an hour which was partly unbelievable to me considering that I had little prep. The spirit and the causes which people took were varied and really representative of the generosity and diversity of Londoners.”
Keeping the cause at heart he ran passed The Ritz, St. James’s Palace, Trafalgar Square, the magnificent St. Paul’s Cathedral, the unique London Eye, the world’s most famous clock Big Ben, the British Houses of Parliament, the historic Westminster Abbey before finishing on Whitehall at the junction of Royal Horse Guards and Banqueting House after passing Downing and The Cenotaph, the national memorial to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
