Mayor Boris Johnson organised a Team GB parade through central London today, to celebrate the roaring success of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games and to allow Britons to say their goodbyes and show their appreciation for Team GB.

Starting at Mansion House Station at 13:30 and ending at 16:00 at the Mall in a ticketed area, the parade was headed by Mo Farah, gold medallist of Somali origin and the best ever British long distance runner. Tens of thousands attended, cheering the athletes who did them so proud this summer and showing their patriotism by waving flags and messages of support.

It’s been a hot day despite the clouds, spirits were high and Here and Now 365 was there to capture the moment of the victory parade. This summer’s Games proved once more the benefits of living in multiculturalism, and we are all celebrating that under the Union Jack today.
