This Saturday, the 22nd of May, The Piece Hall in Halifax is hosting an Eid Get Together from 10 am – 6 pm. This will be the first time this 250-year-old Grade 1 listed building will be hosting an Eid event. The event is free and will give visitors the chance to come together with family and friends in a safe outdoor space. It will also allow visitors to reconnect with The Piece Hall’s idyllic setting.

The event will feature a great selection of food and drink for visitors to enjoy from brands including Cofresh Snacks, Elephant Atta, Dr Nature, Royal Sweets and Regal Bakeries. There will also be stalls selling a range of scarves and jewellery including stalls from Bombay Stores. Henna painting and personalised calligraphy by the talented Hammad and Ammara Haider will also be offered on-site. The Piece Hall’s shops and cafes will be open for everyone to enjoy a nice day out.

Noor Ali an Ambassador for The Piece Hall states:

“It [The Piece Hall] brings people together as a key venue for Yorkshire heritage and tourism, as well as providing support for small independent Yorkshire businesses.”

To promote the spirit of charity on Eid, The Piece Hall will be welcoming donations of food and toiletries to be given to charities including Calderdale Lighthouse, Moonlight Trust, Gathering Place and St Augustine’s Centre. Donations can be made at The Piece Hall’s Visitor Centre.

The event will be following social distancing rules to ensure everyone stays safe while enjoying a day of fun activities. It will be a fun-filled event that you don’t want to miss out on.
