London Indian Film Festival Starts This Weekend

The 2013 edition of London’s own Indian Film jamboree has landed!

Europe’s biggest independent Indian film festival continues to go from strength to strength because of the outstanding quality of the creations presented each year.

Highlights this time, according to the website, are Monsoon Shootout and Bombay Talkies, premièring in the UK after having been screened at Cannes.  But the offering is vast and diverse – for the first time including productions out of Pakistan and the Indian state of Gujarat.

Screenings are to be held at prestigious cinemas across London, with prices varying according to the venue. The festival runs from today to the 25th and tickets are going fast, so book yours now from here.

A massive chapter of global film industry, Indian cinema is going through a golden age both at home and on the world stage right now. Top new talent is successfully blending South Asian culture and Bollywood panache with thought-provoking screenwriting, innovative cinematography and brilliant acting skills – all perfectly illustrated by the London Indian Film Festival.

We’ve reserved seats to several screenings and we hope to see all our friends there as well to enjoy this cultural treat together.

Here and Now 365 has always prided itself for promoting multiculturalism and celebrating the ethnic diversity of the UK.
